This program area focuses on strengthening individual and institutional capacities through customized, competency based training

Overview

How we build skills that stay

Participants develop practical, adaptive skills aligned with current professional demands and evolving sectoral needs. Every program is competency based and customized, so it fits the people who take part and the work they do every day

We design tailored training for government bodies, communities, fellow NGOs, and the private sector, ensuring contextual relevance and long term applicability. By investing in skills development and continuous learning, we help individuals respond effectively to change, improve performance, and contribute meaningfully within their communities and workplaces

We invest in people, not one off workshops. The aim is capacity that continues long after a program ends, for individuals and for the institutions they belong to. Training therefore starts from a clear picture of needs and is reviewed against the results it produces

What Training & Skills Development covers

Each part of the service builds a different kind of capacity, for individuals, for teams, and for the institutions around them

01

Customized Training Programs

Training designed around the people who will take part. We look at the competencies participants need, the context they work in, and the results their organization expects, then build a competency based program that is practical, adaptive, and relevant to their daily work

You receiveA tailored training program built around agreed competencies
02

Entrepreneurship Development

Support for people who want to start or strengthen a business, especially in local and rural communities. We build practical business skills and confidence, so entrepreneurs can create economic opportunities that last and their communities benefit from stronger local livelihoods

You receiveA practical entrepreneurship program adapted to the local context
03

Employability Training

Training that prepares people for the workplace. We focus on the practical, adaptive skills that professional roles demand today and that sectors will need tomorrow, so participants can enter work, change roles, or move ahead with confidence

You receiveA skills program aligned with current workplace demands
04

Workforce Development Partnerships

Partnerships with employers, institutions, and local organizations that connect training to real opportunities. We help partners define the skills they need and shape programs that meet those needs, so learning leads to work and to stronger organizations

You receiveA partnership plan that links training to workplace needs
How we work

From skills gap to capacity that lasts

Every training follows the same connected path, so that learning turns into practice and practice into lasting results

1

Assess needs and context

We listen first. Together with partners and participants, we identify the competencies that matter and the setting in which they will be used

2

Design the program

We shape content, methods, and schedule around those competencies, so the training is practical, adaptive, and relevant to the participants and their organization

3

Deliver and support

We facilitate the training, encourage practice on real tasks, and adjust the approach when a group needs something different

4

Review and follow through

We look at what participants have learned and applied, and share the findings with partners, so capacity keeps growing after the program ends

Why it matters

Results based design is becoming the standard

Programs succeed when the people behind them can carry the work forward. Training and skills development helps partners build that capacity, so results continue long after a program ends
